A Christ centered ministry showing the kindness of Jesus to those in need while working with community partners to provide our neighbors basic needs and personal growth opportunities.

Be a Good Neighbor

Be a Good Neighbor is a program that provides assistance to our neighbors in need that goes beyond the service provided daily by the CSC. With the help of corporate sponsors and volunteers, a Be a Good Neighbor special event will take place at the CSC again in 2024. These are the services we offer:

·       Free food, gift cards, gasoline vouchers or bus passes for neighbors
·       Job-seeker assistance, job-provider programs on site
·       Health information and services from local medical professionals
·       Help with enrollment and questions about Medicare and insurance
·       Information and assistance concerning affordable housing
·       Low-cost auto maintenance and repair options
·       35+ vendors offering a variety of services
·       Prayer and free Bibles for anyone attending

Please consider joining us to help these people in need:
·        Pray for our neighbors, especially those hit hardest by inflation.
·       Volunteer to assist at our next Be a Good Neighbor event.
·        Donate food, useable clothes or housewares at the CSC.
·        Donate $20 (click below) to provide gas or food to a neighbor in need.

A special thank-you to our sponsors: United Supermarkets, Blake Williams State Farm, Chick Fil-A, Food Bank of West Central Texas, KTXS-TV, Abilene Teachers Federal Credit Union and a Huge Blessing from Dian Graves Owen Foundation.
